Family Life Pastor at FBC Covington, Louisiana

Josh has a passion for influencing families to be mature disciples of Jesus.

He grew up in Sulphur Springs TX, where his parents raised he and his two siblings to love Jesus and to serve the Lord.   Josh began his journey as a follower of Jesus in 1987.  This decision changed the trajectory of his life. In 1999, when Josh was a senior in high school, he surrendered to the call of ministry on his life.  Josh says it this way:  "I had no idea how God could use me, but I knew I needed to say yes to Him."  
During and after college at East Texas Baptist University, Josh traveled the US leading worship at camps, conferences, and student retreats. God has opened the door to encounter thousands of people to humbly lead to Jesus. In 2007 Josh mived to FBC Covington to join their pastoral staff. Through his years at FBC Covington, he has grown in his opportunities to use his gifts in preaching and evangelism, and disipleship. He currently oversees the family ministry team, always seeking to connect adults to Christ, the church and community. 

Josh completed a Masters of Divinity in 2013 and a Doctor of Ministry in 2022 both from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Josh married the love of his life, Leslie in 2008. They love watching their 4 children (Kate, Judah, John Luke and Jonas) grow in their knowledge and wisdom of God. The Jordans enjoy playing sports and going on family vacations!
